The origin of the site is in Matthew 26:7 a woman came up to him with an alabaster jar of costly perfumed oil, and poured it on his head while he was reclining at table. This story describes a person who has faith and silently professes it. Teenagers act very much alike: they feel hunger for something deeper than fast-paced media world and constant changing trends. They feel it, yet very often they do not know what to do or what to say. This site is for such seekers. We are based at St. Anastasia parish in Douglaston, New York. |

Two circles with a dot at the center reflect a few crucial meanings: unity and togetherness of the group. The youth are focused on one goal; they make the effort to help one another as they are trying to reach the goal (target). Because it is uneasy and very confusing task, that is why these two circles remind of a labyrinth of life. The colors reflect these of the Youth Center. There are two letters embedded in the logotype: centrally located “Y” which stands for “youth” and “A” which stands for St. Anastasia. |

As we have done in previous years, with the upcoming Summer, we will change the gear at St. Anastasia Youth. In previous years we had some hot topic discussions or simply we were relaxing by BBQ-ing, watching movies, eating ice-cream and having other kinds of fun. We will be continuing this proud tradition under the catchy title Hot Summer - Cool Stuff. Make sure that you take advantage of this really cool opportunity during pretty hot summer evenings! |
